Transition

I can’t believe that it’s almost been a month since my last post.

For both me and for Yoga-urt, there is so much transition happening right now.

For Yoga-urt, we’ve had changes to our team (team members leaving and new team members starting) and then just recently, daylight savings and warmer weather. We are getting busier which means we have to make more product, order more frequently, go to the market more frequently, staff up, and try to keep up with everything.

Not to mention, Vegan Street Fair is less than 2 weeks away so we are in major prep mode. I’m starting to get nervous as these festivals/fairs are a big deal with so many moving pieces. We seem to always get hit with a curveball, but this is our 4th one now so I feel a bit more confident. It’ll be a lot of fun to introduce Yoga-urt to new people and see friends too.
And as always, it’s exciting for me to see people coming to the store, from near and far away and enjoying all areas of Yoga-urt including the back patio. I love seeing people relaxing back there. It makes me so happy.

As for me, my day job slowed down a bit this last month (first time in the 3.5 years I’ve been there), and so it’s been nice to take a couple more days off and to breathe a little. Also gave me time to focus on my taxes and Yoga-urt a bit more. The list is never ending of things to do.

I also got to go to Natural Expo West for 1 day. The last time I went was in 2012 when I was still working on my business plan. At that time, I had to fake a business card to get in and was embarrassed for people to see my pass with the name Yoga-urt on it. This time, I was proud to wear it and it was a nice reminder of how far I’ve come. The Expo was still overwhelming, but I was proud to represent Yoga-urt.

And on the family front, my parents are still faced with many health issues which makes things incredibly hard for my family, but I’m lucky to have their support and love when they can visit the store.

Here’s hoping this transition brings lots of goodness to all of us.
