Problem Solving & Long Days

My life is crazy.  No doubt about it.  It is non-stop from 7am to 12am, pretty much everyday and it’s not going to let up for a few weeks.

I have a full-time job in addition to Yoga-urt so I only have so much time in a day.  I’m so grateful to have this job, but the next few weeks are going to be tricky.  I’m taking a few days off here and there and will do my best to take care of everything needed for both.  It’s a lot…I don’t think anyone fully understands how much…but I’m going to take it one day at a time so that I will hopefully be in one piece at the end of the month.

Help is coming soon.  My sister and niece are coming this weekend to help.  My yoga-urt team starts this week or next.  I will be able to start handing off stuff soon which will be great.

For those curious, here’s how my day went today.  Before work, I went to a restaurant supply store, visited yoga-urt to check paint colors, them went to work.  For lunch, I went back to the store because an ADA specialist came out to discuss several things.  You can imagine how fun that was.  There are some things we need to change, for example, we have the wrong sink.  I really wanted to create a spa feeling in the bathroom, but if we follow ADA, it’s just not big enough.  We almost had to change the mirror too, but we found a way around that.

Other issues: The track lights are blinking like a disco so that needs to be fixed (wrong dimmer).  Issues with sneeze guards. Figuring out timings of inspections next week. The list goes on and on.

Then I went back to work.
After work, I went to costco and whole foods to pick up ingredients for the smoothies/soft serve training.  When I got home around 9pm, I had to make 2 gallons of the soft serve mix for our training tomorrow.  I had no idea what I was doing, but luckily, our food scientist Jim talked me through it and I think what I made is close enough to what we need for tomorrow.  I finished at midnight and spent the last hour catching up on emails.

Now, it’s time for bed.  Goodnight!
